Former St. Louis Rams Owner Leaves Gripping Thriller for Mystery Fans

Georgia Frontiere weaved her love of astrology into well received, new suspense novel

ST. LOUIS, September 29, 2014 — A brilliant psychologist and astrologer who has become a media celebrity is targeted by a serial killer. Soon, she’s applying her skills in league with the FBI to hunt down a man who is killing young women.

Those are the makings of a gripping new thriller sprung from the mind of Georgia Frontiere, the former St. Louis Rams owner who drafted the novel over several years before her 2008 death.

Horoscope: The Astrology Murders was released today, years after Frontiere’s children, Lucia Rodriguez and Chip Rosenbloom, found the nearly completed book among their mother’s papers. For years, the pair had heard their mother share excerpts of her novel, introducing the character of New York University-educated Dr. Kelly York.

“We knew this story was near and dear to our mother’s heart,” Lucia Rodriguez. “We’ve been thrilled to have the chance to bring it to completion on her behalf.”

Frontiere — the longtime Rams owner and first woman owner to control an NFL franchise — had cultivated a love of astrology herself, often applying her interest into star readings for colleagues and Rams players.

Noteworthy artists, directors, actors and writers — as well as former colleagues — who have had an early peek at Frontiere’s debut thriller placed it on par with other well-known writers in the genre.

“Frontiere has penned a mystery thriller worthy of the best Agatha Christie novel, and she clearly has a Hitchcockian instinct for relentless suspense,” said Steve Bratter, maker of the film Demolition Man and host of Talking Movies.

The book release is in partnership with Safe Connections, one of St. Louis’ oldest and largest organizations working to prevent and end domestic and sexual violence. The organization is hosting a private release party in appreciation of its donors on Oct. 8, 2014, at STLBooks, an independent bookstore in downtown Kirkwood. A portion of book proceeds will benefit Safe Connections during November and December.

The novel is available on Amazon.com, the Barnes & Noble bookstore website (bn.com), during St. Louis Rams home games at the team store in the Edward Jones Dome, at selected Rams events, and from local bookstores, including STLbooks.com.

Fans can keep up with Dr. York’s work on her blog, available on the Horoscope website: http://www.horoscopethebook.com/; on Twitter @DrKellyYork; or on Facebook.com/HoroscopeTheBook. Tweet about the book using #HoroscopeMurders.
